Gustbuster Umbrellas

Gustbuster Umbrellas

Overall this umbrella is of fair quality (3 out of 5 stars). The product is designed well and performs more than adequately. It falls short, however, of being a truly quality product for 3 reasons: the nylon used for the umbrella is only suitable for light to medium rain (it would not be adequate for heavy rain); part of the handle is painted plastic instead of being full rubber and it is not truly golf-size (it is only medium size). To make this umbrella worthy of 5 stars, totes needs to use heavier duty nylon, construct the handle completely out of rubber (the painted plastic is less durable and will degrade much quicker)and make the opened size a bit closer to golf-size. The auto-open feature works but does not have a precise feel to it. To end this review on a positive note, the nylon cover is constructed of heavy duty nylon and is the best umbrella cover I have ever seen (it fits perfectly, looks excellent and is very durable). The securing strap is much wider than normal which results in better stowing of the umbrella (with or without the cover). In conclusion, this umbrella is decent and has some good features but it definitely falls short of being a great product.
